Haifa has highest rate of cancer in Occupied territories

SHAFAQNAHaifa has the highest rate of cancer in occupied territories, Israeli Ministry of Health and Israel Cancer Association announced in a report.

Lung, breast, prostate and intestine cancer in city of Haifa are nine to 14 per cent more than other cities of Israel.

Rates of cancer in Tel Avive are higher than the average rate in Israel by three to six per cent, while it is lower in Jerusalem and Acre, but it is the lowest in Marj Ibn Amer by five to 16 per cent, the report said.

Cancer is the leading cause of death in Israel since 1999, account for 25 per cent of fatalities, Middle East Monitor reported.
