SHAFAQNA (International Shia News Association)-Head of the Palestinian unity government Rami Hamdallah said on Saturday that an international “third party” will pay the salaries of Palestinian employees in Gaza Strip.
Prime Minister Hamdallah refused, during a press conference held in Nablus, to reveal this international body.
Qatar earlier declared its readiness to pay the wages of the civil servants employed by the former government in Gaza after the unity government had rejected to hand over their salaries.
Hamdallah pointed out that the paying process will take place in coordination with the Palestinian Authority.
The two main Palestinian factions, Fatah and Hamas, have reached a comprehensive agreement on Thursday in Cairo that calls, among other issues, on the Palestinian unity government to hand out financial disbursements for Gaza-based employees until the legal and administrative committee’s work on the issue is finalized.
