How can a woman ask to be paid for the housework? The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi Zanjani answered a question about paid housework for a woman.

Question: Currently, it is customary that courts rule that a woman to be paid for the housework, but (if) the woman has not set a condition to be paid for the housework, is it allowed to receive this money?

The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi: A woman can ask to be paid for the housework if she has declared that she does not do them for free, and the man has accepted, or he asked her to do the job, and the man’s request does not appear to be for free and the woman also has not worked for free; otherwise it is not allowed to receive it (money).
