How did Imam Sajjad (AS) deal with the person who insulted him?

SHAFAQNA – A man came to see Imam Sajjad (AS) and insulted him by saying rude words. Imam (AS) stayed silent and said nothing and that man also left. Imam Sajjad (AS) told his companions: You heard how that man behaved. Now I like you to come with me to see that man and see how I deal with him. On his way to that man’s place, Imam Sajjad kept reciting Ayah 134 of Surah Al-e-Imran (Those who spend whether in prosperity, or adversity; those who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men; for Allah (SWT) loves those who do good.). When Imam (AS) reached the house; called that man to come out. He came out expecting angry response from Imam (AS). Imam Sajjad (AS) said: My brother, if what you said exists in me, I ask forgiveness for myself from God, and if it does not exist in me, I ask God to forgive you. That man kissed between two eyes of Imam (AS) and said: What I said does not exist in you; rather I am the one who deserves those words [1].
