How to protect our own dignity?

SHAFAQNA – In the short eloquent saying number 26 in Nahjul Balaghah, Imam Ali (AS) said: Whatever the human being has inside him/her, eventually will display it; either by writing or saying, or by behaviour and conducts. In the holy Quran, Allah (SWT) revealed to the Prophet of Islam (PBUH): “If We (God) wanted, We could show them up to you, and you should have known them by their marks, but surely you will know them by their speech [1]”; meaning the tone of their speech makes it clear to you that they are hypocrites or the believers! Therefore, we must protect our own dignity. And the first (best) way to protect dignity is to cleanse and purify the inner self. If the opposite is true, then it will show itself one way or another.

[1] Ayah 30, Surah Mohammad.
