Imam Khomeini revived hope for the oppressed and the weak

SHAFAQNA – After a short visit to Iran on the occasion of the demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini, Hujjat al-Islam Ali Yasin, the head of the Association of Scholars in the Lebanese city of Tyre, explained that Imam Khomeini, the founder of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, revived and returned Islam to its pure Muhammadan form throughout the Islamic world.

Iran recently held ceremonies marking the 26th anniversary of Imam Ruhollah Khomeini’s death in which many foreign guests attended, including prominent Shi’ite scholars and religious figures.

His Eminence added that the Islamic Revolution as led by Imam Khomeini revived the hope in the hearts of the oppressed and the weak people of the world and encouraged them to seek their lost rights.

Hujjat al-Islam Yasin said that the defeat of the American and Israel plots in the Middle East were due to the actions of Imam Khomeini.

“Today, we in Lebanon must be prepared to deal with the Takfiri threat and the Zionist entity. Supporting the Islamic Resistance is more necessary than ever before,” he explained.
