The importance of marriage and forming a family in Islam

SHARE

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) who said: A man came to see my father whom God’s Greetings be on him, and my father asked that man: Are you married? That man answered: No. My father said: I do not like to have the world and whatever is in it, and rest my head on a pillow at night without a wife. Then, my father added: Two Rokats of Salaat that is performed by a married man is better than a man without wife who performs Salaat all night and fast during the day. Then my father gave seven dinars and said: Marry with this money. Then my father narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: Form a family for yourselves which is better and more beneficial for your sustenance/livelihood (which is granted by Allah (SWT)) [1].
