SHAFAQNA- On Tuesday with the attendance of Iranian Minister of Education Mohammad Bathaei, a school was opened which has been built with the aid of the United Nations High Commissionaire for Refugees (UNHCR).
“The school covers an area of 2,600 square meters, including a three-floor building,” said Abbas Keyvanlou, the head of Education Ministry’s office in Javadabad city, where the school is located.
He added that the school was built with some $285,000 budget and consists of seven classrooms, two offices, laboratory, prayers room, and a multi-purpose sports hall, Irna reported
Sixty four out of total 100 students registered in the school are Afghan citizens in Javadabad.
Schools in Javadabad serve over 4,600 students in 41 educational units, 2,400 of which are Afghan citizens of the region.
Javadabad city is located in south of Iranian capital city of Tehran and is home to over 30,000 people.
