India to pursue Iran Kabul Railway to make Gawadar Insignificant

With the NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan, India has become key player to fill the vacuum in the war struck country.  India has started to pursue Iran Kabul Railway plan, a project to connect Iran with Afghanistan. According to details Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a meeting with US and Afghan diplomats devised the roadmap for the future development in Afghanistan and India has been placed as key player in the region. High level diplomatic contacts between India and Afghanistan have been established soon after the new leadership installed in both the countries. Indian intelligence RAW’s officers also met with Afghan security officials and set up a joint police force which has been named as ITBP. This force is comprised of 500 personals.

According to an international survey 74% Afghan supports India while only 8% favor Pakistan.
