Iran students rank 2nd in int’l math contest

SHAFAQNA – IRNA:  Iranian students ranked second in the World Mathematics Invitational (WMI).

WMI 2018 was held on July 12-16 at Yonsei University, South Korea.

In this edition of the contest, the Iranian team comprising 54 male and female students won 5 gold, 18 silver, and 17 bronze medals, as well as 14 merit awards, attaining world’s 2nd ranking.

Founded in 2013 in Taiwan, WMI is an international math competition. Last year it was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
