Zarif told Sean Barrett, the speaker of Ireland’s House of Representatives “Of course, it depends on the will of the either side”.
SHAFAQNA – Tehran – Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said on Tuesday that Iran wants impediments to expansion of its relations with the European and western states lifted.
He said both Iran and Ireland enjoy extensive potentials for expansion of their relations.
He added, “The Tehran-Dublin ties can be expanded in all areas, including in parliamentary domain.”
Referring to western measures to counter Daesh, Zarif said that unfortunately, instead of drastic confrontation with Daesh, the infrastructures of Syria are targeted and the issue cannot be solved this way.
The Irish top parliamentarian, for his part, voiced pleasure with visiting Iran and said the country is the focal point of peace and stability in the region.
Emphasizing promotion of mutual ties, the Irish speaker said that as a country, Ireland is honored to be in favor of peace and having long record of establishing and protecting peace.
