SHAFAQNA – The art of Iranian-Islamic calligraphy was introduced in an exhibition held by the Iranian Cultural Center in Pretoria, South Africa.
According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, “Quran in the Mirror of Art” was the title of the exhibition held last week.
Calligraphic artworks featuring Quranic verses by Chavoshi, an Iranian calligrapher, were put on display at the exhibition.
Various techniques of calligraphy and illumination were also introduced to the visitors by the Iranian artist.
Moreover, a workshop was organized on the sidelines of the exhibition where the Iranian calligrapher introduced tools and various techniques of calligraphy and illumination.
