IRNA/ Iranian principles different from int’l coalition against Daesh

SHAFAQNA (International Shia News Association) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Monday that fighting terrorism requires international resolve, adding that Iranian principles are different from the international coalition against Daesh.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Dutch Deputy Foreign Minister Jeir Tess.

Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran has suspicion at the US determination to fight Daesh.

The measures taken by the US-led coalition have left no impact on Daesh stand, it further aggravated extremism, Amir-Abdollahian said.

If the US and other Western governments had prevented their citizens from joining the terrorist group and asked neighbors of Iraq and Syria not to allow terrorists to use their borders, Daesh would have been destroyed and there were no need for coalition and Hollywoodian shows.

The Dutch deputy foreign minister, for his part, underlined the need to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis.

Referring to the significant position of Iran in the region, he said Iran would help find a solution to the problem.

He welcomed the formation of a new government in Baghdad and said stability in Iraq is important to the region and Europe.

He noted that the Netherlands government has adopted measures to prevent its citizens from joining Daesh.
