Is keeping close ties with family and blood relations emphasized in Islam?

SHAFAQNA – Keeping close ties with family and blood relatives is much emphasized in Islam and this good deed will satisfy the emotional needs of the human being. Allah (SWT) emphasized this important issue in Ayahs 19-21 of Surah Al-Ra’ad: “Is then one who knows that which have been revealed to you by God is the truth, like the one who is blind? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition; those who fulfil the covenant of Allah (SWT) and do not fail in their plighted word; those who join together those things which God has commanded to be joined, fear their God, and fear the terrible reckoning.”
