ISIL keep slaughtering Iraqi people

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association)- The ISIL Takfiri terrorists relentlessly continue to slaughter people from different religions and ethnic groups across Iraq, Press TV reports.

The terrorists have been pressing ahead with systematic killings, torture and summary execution of the Iraqi people.

The ISIL atrocities target people from different religions and ethnic groups including Shias, Sunnis, Izadi Kurds and Christians.

On Saturday, the Takfiri militants executed scores of Sunni people from Albu Nimr tribe in Iraq’s western province of Anbar. It is believed that they were massacred because of their cooperation with the Iraqi government.

Analysts say such crimes show the weakness of the Takfiri group.

“I think they resort to these executions, these arbitrary executions, because of their failure to gain the allegiance of some particular Sunni tribes. I think this is really a sign of weakness,” James Petras, a Middle East expert, told Press TV.

A new report by Human Rights Watch has revealed that the Takfiri group systematically executed some 600 prisoners from Badoush Prison outside the northern city of Mosul in June, according to survivors’ accounts.

The survivors of the massacre told the rights group that the prisoners were from different religions and ethnic groups. They, however, said that the vast majority of the executed prisoners were Shia Muslims.

One of the survivors told Human Rights Watch that the Takfiris “started by saying, ‘Each person raise his hand and say his number.’ I was number 43. I heard them say ‘615,’ and then one ISIS (ISIL) guy said, ‘We’re going to eat well tonight.’”

“A man behind us asked, ‘Are you ready?’” he continued, “Another person answered ‘Yes,’ and began shooting at us with a machine-gun. Then they all started to shoot us from behind, going down the row.”

In addition to Iraq, ISIL controls large areas of Syria’s east and north. The group sent its militants into Iraq in June, seizing large parts of land along the border between the two countries.
