ecretary General of the Islamic World Peace Forum underlined that Islam is a religion of peace and justice and condemns terrorist attacks like the recent ones in Beirut and Paris.
Davoud Ameri slammed the acts of terrorism that killed scores of people in Lebanon and France last week, stressing that Islam, which seeks peace, justice and salvation for humanity, is opposed to such actions, the website of the forum reported.
He further said that injustice and oppression in the world are behind such incidents and that today, humanity is in need of a culture of justice and peace more than ever.
A string of terrorist attacks killed at least 129 people and wounded dozens of others in Paris on Friday night when gunmen and suicide bombers attacked restaurants, a concert hall and a sports stadium at six different locations across the French capital.
A day earlier, at least 43 people were killed and more than 200 others injured after two explosions struck the General Security Post in Hussaineya Street in Borj al-Barajneh neighborhood, southern Beirut.
The ISIL Takfiri terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks in both cities.
