ISNA/ Iran to unveil first indigenous solar energy building

SHAFAQNA – Iran would unveil the first locally-made building next month whose energy is solely provided by solar system.

The two-storey 2000 square meter large building includes administrative, training and research units and would be unveiled on February 1-11.

The building working with solar energy would be accomplished if its facade design is completed, and its electricity is provided by two separate mechanisms, including designing an architecture which can best use the sun light.

It also uses solar panels to provide electricity for training and research units.

The required warm water is provided by solar collectors installed on the roofs. The building’s warmth is supplied by greenhouse effect.

The unit also uses locally-made windward which receives cool on the one side of the building and sends it out from the other side.
