SHAFAQNA (International Shia News Association) – Lebanese Defense Minister Samir Moqbel is visiting Iran on Saturday.
Moqbel has officially been invited by his Iranian counterpart Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan.
He would visit Tehran at top of a high-ranking military delegation and for a three-day visit.
The Lebanese official would discuss issues of mutual interests as well as regional and international developments with his Iranian counterpart.
Moqbel is scheduled to meet with other Iranian senior officials and visit achievements of Iranian Defense Industry as well.
Secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani in a meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Tamam Salam in Lebanon said that Iran had decided to provide Lebanon with a military gift.
Iran and Lebanon enjoy cordial relations and have further expanded these ties in recent years.
The two sides have exchanged several delegations of high-ranking officials in the last three years
