SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi answered a question about ladies make up in special times.
Question: Is it allowed for ladies to pluck Eyebrow and have heavy make up only for their husbands at times like Muharram especially the first ten days?
The Grand Ayatollah Makarem: there is no problem with hair cut for women. Make up for husband is allowed, but it is appropriate in nights and days of martyrdom to avoid it.
