Japan sent another spy satellite into orbit

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – According to Kyodo news agency reports, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries an intelligence gathering satellite was sent into space on Sunday (1 Feb.) at 10:21 a.m. local time from the Tanegashima Space Center.

The Information Gathering Satellites (IGS), is operated by Japan’s Cabinet Satellite Intelligence Centre and consists of optical and radar imaging spacecraft. The capabilities of the satellite is considered as top secret by the Japan’s government. Four other Japanese intelligence satellites are already in place.
