Larijani condoles with Iraqi nation on demise of Ayatollah Bahrololoum

SHAFAQNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, in a statement on Tuesday, condoled with the Iraqi nation and government on the demise of Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Bahrololoum, a prominent Iraqi religious leader and politician. In his statement, Larijani hailed Ayatollah Bahrololoum’s role in establishment of a democratic government in Iraq after the fall of Baath regime. The Majlis speaker sympathized with the great family of Ayatollah Bahrololoum and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. Ayatollah Bahrololoum, one of the opponents of former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, had to live outside Iraq during the rule of Baath regime. He returned to Iraq in 2003 after the fall of Saddam Hussain’s regime. He was twice elected as the head of Iraqi Governing Council.
