Lavrov: Those consciously encouraging violence which exacerbates Shia-Sunni differences will bear enormous responsibility

SHAFAQNA – Russian Foreign Minister said  on Iran nuclear talk ” #Lavrov: The talks stand a good chance if none of the parties try to raise the stakes at the last moment. The balance must not be broken”  He added ” #Lavrov: Russia’s stance on @UN sanctions: they should be invalidated once agreement is reached #IranTalks #” Added ” #Lavrov: We will never recognise unilateral sanctions imposed by the #US, #EU or other countries, whether against #Iran or any other nation”

Regarding the Saudi war on Yemen He said ” #Lavrov: We are deeply concerned over developments in #Yemen. The situation must not get out of control” , adding saying ” #Lavrov: #Russia’s view: it is essential to stop the use of force in #Yemen. Both parties should resume talks” and ” #Lavrov: There is an understanding that the talks should be held on neutral territory, as proposed by #UNSG’s special representative ” . He said ” #Lavrov: We are discussing #Yemen issues with Western partners. I have talked to @FedericaMog, FMs of #France, #Germany and #US ” He said ” #Lavrov: We must not allow this to escalate to a #Sunni#Shia confrontation” and ” #Lavrov: We have been warning of the threat of such a split in #Islam since the #ArabSpring began, but were never heeded” He added ” #Lavrov: Those who are consciously encouraging violence which exacerbates the #Shia#Sunni differences will bear enormous responsibility” and ” #Lavrov: We cannot allow the situation to be used to trigger an open conflict between Arabs and #Iran ” and he ended saying ” #Lavrov: We will make every effort to prevent this. We maintain regular contacts with #Egypt, #SaudiArabia, the #Gulf states”
