SHAFAQNA – Lebanon has declared it will lodge a complaint with the UN Security Council against Israel for violating the Lebanese airspace. Lebanon’s foreign minister is to address the Security Council in a protest over the issue. Israeli warplanes on Thursday crossed the Lebanese airspace and conducted an airstrike against a military site in Syria. The Syrian army said two soldiers were killed in the Israeli air raid. Syria also filed a complaint with the UN on Thursday. Damascus demanded the Security Council denounce Israel’s aggression and take action to prevent such attacks in the future.
