Make bomb in India with ISI and target Bangladesh

SHAFAQNA (International Shia News Association)-The growing fondness between India and Bangladesh did not go down too well with the ISI and it helped the Jamaat-ul-Bangladesh which had become almost defunct to set up the West Bengal module which was meant to make bombs in India and target Bangladesh. This plan would have revealed that Bangladesh is being targeted from Indian soil and in the bargain the relations between the two countries would have gone sour. It is a well known fact that the ISI has not had it easy since the Awami League cracked down on almost all terror groups which were created in the first place to target India. HuJI, Jamaat-e-Islami to name a few were all nurtured by the ISI to hit India.

The National Investigating Agency which is also probing the role of Tamil based Al-Ummah in the blast says that this was an operation bigger than what we had thought. While Kausar Ali is believed to be the man who played the middle man between the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen in Bangladesh and West Bengal, the real mastermind according to both the NIA and the Intelligence Bureau is a man called Shadul Hussain who came to West Bengal exactly four years back and took shelter in Murshidabad.

He coordinated with another operative by the name Reza Karim to set up several modules across Malda and Murshidabad, Intelligence Bureau officials point out. Ironically the presence of Hussain was known well to both the Research and Analysis Wing and also the Intelligence Bureau who in fact in a communication to the Home Ministry in 2011 had pointed out the same. The communication sent out by the RAW secretary spoke about these men setting up a module in Murshidabad’s Lalghola.

The communication further stated that the centre should coordinate with the West Bengal government and have both these men arrested. However there was no action, an officer associated with the probe informed. The first cash transaction to this module was made from Dhaka and Intelligence Bureau officials say that the amount was around Rs 10 lakh. A module in Nawabganj in Bangladesh which is a known ISI sponsored module sent in the money for the first time to the module in Murhisdabad. Based on the intelligence sharing between the two countries India was told specifically about this module which operated under the guise of a Madrasa and was used specifically to set up the West Bengal module. Information obtained through Intelligence sharing also pointed to the ISI’s Dhaka module which had helped these operatives with the material and more importantly the funds. For the ISI nurturing this module had becomes extremely important. It had thought Bangladesh to be an ally and together would nurture outfits in the country to launch strikes against India. It had even created the HuJI a sister concern of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba which was successful to a large extent. However things began to change once the Bangladesh government decided to crack down on terror groups.

The ISI then nurtured an almost defunct Jamaat-ul-Bangladesh and from its embassy in Dhaka began setting up this deadly module which would Make in India and strike in Bangladesh. As per the investigation Kausar Ali who coordinated with Hussain and Khan carried cash to the tune of Rs 80 lakh in the first year of the module being set up. The plan was to have a force of 180 persons both male and female to set up a full fledged army to attack Bangladesh. Investigators are clear that this attack was only aimed Bangladesh and every attack would be carried out from Indian soil. This according to the plan would make India look bad and the ties with Bangladesh would turn sour which meant that the ISI could go back to playing its old games of using Bangladesh as a launching pad to control the militancy in West Bengal and other bordering states. Murshidabad, Malda and Nadia were the chosen targets and the intent was clearly to set up as many bomb factories as possible. Using the illegal Madrasas, local groups and outfits such as the SIMI were all part of the plan. During the course of this plan, several operatives of the JMB had a free run in India.

The head of the JMB, Habid Rehman visited West Bengal twice last year, He even stayed in Murshidabad and over saw a couple of operational details. While all the operational details were being planned in West Bengal they were a bit slow on the fund collection drive as they did not want anyone to suspect what really was going on.
