Modi wave is like a tsunami : Amit Shah

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association)

BJP chief Amit Shah said after victory in both Haryana and Maharashtra, the party will form the government in both states. While briefing the mediapersons, Shah said that the ‘Modi wave’ is still on. “We will form the governments in Maharashtra and Haryana”, he added. Shah said the assembly election results in the two states proved the “Modi wave” continues to be a ‘tsunami’. “…for those who thought Modi wave is over, this is proof that it’s still a tsunami that can crush all competition,” Amit Shah said. “This proves that people of India have chosen Narendra Modi as their leader,” he said. Asked about the possibility of an alliance with the Shiv Sena, Shah gave enough indications that it was not averse to the outside support offered by NCP and made it clear that it will be going ahead with formation of government in Maharashtra. On Shiv Sena, Shah said, “We never tried to break the alliance, nor were we responsible for the break-up”. “As per norms of democracy, the largest party has the right to form the government. BJP will be forming the government in Maharashtra,” Shah told a press conference as the results showed that BJP will fall short of a majority. Virtually ignoring its erstwhile ally Shiv Sena, he said that the NCP has on its own offered “unconditional outside” support and “does not want to join the government”. Asked specifically what would the BJP do on NCP’s offer, Shah said, “Just wait for sometime. The (BJP) Parliamentary Board will be meeting shortly.”
