SHAFAQNA – The epistemology department of IICT will hold a national conference on “Quran and Epistemology” on October 20, 2014. The conference will be organized by IICT and Allameh Tabatabaei University. The aims of the conference are as follows: Extracting epistemological issues from the holy Quran; exposing new epistemological theories to the holy Quran and receiving answers and views of the holy Quran; criticizing the western epistemological principles based on Quranic teachings; utilizing the epistemic teachings of the holy Quran for reforming and developing Islamic epistemology.
Ayatollah Ali-Akbar Rashad and Dr. Alireza Qaeminia are the key speakers of the conference. The following articles will be presented: “The Model of Quranic Thought Based on Synchronic Semantics”, “definition in the holy Quran”, “Epistemic evaluation in the holy Quran, “an investigation on the epistemic position of sense from Quranic view point. In addition, IICT organized the facility for the scholars around the world to attend video-conferences on any subjects related to the theme of the conference.
