Nusra Front claimed responsibility for the suicide attacks in Lebanon

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – According to Lebanese security sources, a suicide bomber blew himself up in a crowded cafe in Jabal Mohsen in the northern city of Tripoli Saturday evening (10 Jan.) killing nine people and wounding more than 30. Another suicide bomber blew himself up outside the coffee shop, according to unconfirmed reports.

The Nusra Front claimed responsibility for the blasts in Jabal Mohsen. The Lebanese Army confirmed that two Lebanese attackers with 4-kilo suicide vests were behind the blasts. A statement identified the two attackers as Taha Samir al-Khayal, 22, and Bilal Mohammad al-Mariyan, 29.
