Obama under pressure over Al Saud’s link to 9/11

SHAFAQNA – A bipartisan group of lawmakers on Capitol Hill are pressuring the White House to declassify 28 pages of the 9/11 Commission Report that have been rumored to detail an investigation into alleged ties between Saudi Arabia and Al-Qaeda.

US President Obama has so far resisted calls to declassify the report alleging issues of national security.

According to sources in Washington, the report clearly established links in between Al Saud royals and Al Qaeda, thus throwing a cloak of deep suspicious as to the nature of Riyadh’s agenda within the perimeters of America’s global war on terror.

US Representative Walter Jones, a Republican from Kentucky, has sponsored a bill that would make public all of the commission’s report, which is the official report of the events leading up to the 9/11 attacks. So far, 11 lawmakers from the House of Representatives, including eight Democrats, have co-sponsored the resolution to declassify the blacked out report from the 9/11 Commission, which was established on November 2002 and their final report was issued on July 2004.

US Representatives Thomas Massie and Stephen Lynch, along with Jones, are now seeking support for the bill, “You cannot have trust in your government when your government hides information from you, particularly on something horrific like 9/11,” said Rep. Walter Jones to the press earlier this week.
