Pakistan population has crossed the figure of 190 million but since last 16 years census has not been conducted. According to constitution of Pakistan, government is responsible to conduct census once in every decade. According to media report previous census does not provide complete information about population of Pakistan. Previous census was conducted in 1998 during the rule of PMLN and as per law country has to conduct census in 2008 but not conducted. In year 2011 PPP government kicked of this task but due to conflict among provinces it was halted.
According to officials thought its late yet still it is not suitable time to conduct census for ongoing operation in Waziristan, issue of IDPs and poor law and order situation in Balochistan, Karachi and other parts of Pakistan. According to report Government sough Army’s help for this task but military refused to provide men power because of war against insurgency.
