Philippine military ends offensive against Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) group.

SHAFAQNA – According to News agencies “90,000 displaced Residents of the poor, marshy town of Mamasapano, 1,682 kilometers (1,045 miles) from the capital, Manila, chanted “Allahu Akbar” and applauded as the military chief said they could return to homes and farms ” The report added “Catapang says government forces launched the assaults Feb. 25 against the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement after its fighters attacked villages and were implicated in the killings in January of 44 police anti-terror commandos in Maguindanao.”
