SHAFAQNA (International Shia News Association)-Deputy head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya received last night a phone call from Palestinian premier Rami Al-Hamdallah, who hailed the Movement’s contribution to the success of his government’s first meeting in the Gaza Strip.
Hamdallah, on behalf of president Mahmoud Abbas, thanked Haneyya for his role in the success of the unity government’s visit to Gaza on Thursday.
The premier affirmed that his government would start immediately on implementing what had been agreed with the Palestinian parties in Gaza and pledged to work on forming the higher committee to follow up the signed agreements.
He emphasized that Gaza deserves every effort and promised to do his best for its population.
The unity government held its first meeting on Thursday after its formation in June last year and met with officials from Hamas and other factions.
