President Rouhani back home

The president was welcomed in Tehran Airport by the Supreme Leader’s Adviser in International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati and First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri

SHAFAQNA – Tehran– President Hassan Rouhani arrived back in Tehran minutes ago after attending the 69th UN General Assembly in New York and the Caspian Sea Summit meeting in Astrakhan, Russia.

Also present in the official reception ceremony of the IRI President and the presidential delegation accompanying him there were the government spokesman, the energy minister, the industries minister, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, vice president for women’s affairs, vice president and head of the Environmental Protection Organization, vice president for legal affairs, and education minister.

President Rouhani had left Tehran on September 22 for New York where on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly he met and conferred with many heads of states, including the presidents of France, Venezuela, Turkey, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, Bolivia, Guinea-Bissau, the prime ministers of Britain, Georgia, Japan, Iraq, and the Foreign Minister of Germany.

The President’s Office Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, and President’s Cultural Affairs Adviser Hesameddin Ashena were among the members of the presidential delegation.

In President Rouhani’s visit of Astrakhan, too, the ministers of roads and rural development and the interior accompanied him.
