Reflections of Ayatollah Khamenei’s letter to European, American youth

SHAFAQNA – Supreme Leader of Iran Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in a letter recently addressed to the European and North American Youth, called on them not to be influenced by the propaganda of anti-Islamic circles and instead try to realize the real essence of Islam by studying the Holy Quran and other reliable Islamic sources.

Foreign audience have given a warm welcome to the Ayatollah Khamenei’s letter to European and North American youth.

According to IRNA reporters in different countries including Britain, Italy, Germany, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Spain, Greece, US, etc. the letter has been warmly received by both public and mass media in those countries. Some people have compared it with Imam Khomeini’s historic letter to former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.

Jafari said, ‘Using words such as ‘wonderful’, ‘important’, ‘intelligent’, ‘politically and historically significant’, ‘laudable’, ‘appropriate’ ‘a good and timely step’, ‘helping world unity’ by western veteran politicians such as British former foreign secretary and current member of parliament Jack Straw, another member of British Parliament Richard Bacon, German prominent scholar Yavuz Ozoguz, and others all show that western political and intellectual leaders admit Islmophobia propaganda is baseless.

Head of India’s Mustafa Society said publication of Ayatollah Khamenei’s message to the youth of Europe and North America was a giant step in confrontation with the wave of Islamophobia in the west.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in a message recently addressed to the youth of Europe and North America, urged them not to be influenced by propaganda of anti-Islamic circles and try to realize the realities of Islam by directly referring to the Holy Quran and other reliable Islamic sources.

In an interview with IRNA, Hojatoleslam Gholamreza Mahdavi compared the leader’s letter to the one written by the late leader of Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini to the former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev, saying that if Soviet leaders had listened to Imam Khomeini’s message, they would have had different destinies.

Head of India’s Al-Mustafa Society said the west has been manipulating tekfiri terrorist groups such as ISIL to tarnish the image of Islam.

With the Islamic Revolution, he added, Imam Khomeini proved that Islam is a religion that has plans for all aspects of life including politics, culture, and economy.

Islamic Revolution presented a new role model of running public life which was different from the western way of life, and this is why they are against it, said Hojatolesalm Mahdavi.

The Indian Muslim leader said the terrorist attack to the French magazine Charlie Hebdo and the subsequent demonstration in Paris in which some world leaders participated were all ‘dubious’ and the Leader’s letter in such a juncture is highly important.
