Repentance is the Quranic way of reducing anxiety and getting rid of internal enemy

SHAFAQNA – The holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) did not need to ask for forgiveness but he used to repent 70 times every day. According to late Sheikh Baha’ei in his book of Arbaeen, this is repelling not removing. It is like having a clean and soft cloth, moving over the mirror. This is for repelling dust, not for removing or wiping dust. The repentance by infallibles is like repelling but repentance by others is for removing dust. Sometimes due to an incident, some people get anxious but some others do not, why? This internal revolt causes anxiety which will not allow a person to have concentration to pray.

Calmness of some according to Quran is due to the angels like Jabrail who are agents of revelation for prophets and those appointed by God; the situation for these are totally separate from other people but these calming agents themselves are blessings. Consider 2 people living in a place, one anxious and the other calm, where does this anxiety or calm come from? As mentioned in the Surah Al-Naas, we should always have the cloth for repelling or removing dust or we should not let the heart to be soiled or if it is, it must be cleaned.

Sometimes Satan makes human being confused and sometimes put him/her under pressure. I seek refuge in God that to be confused or under pressure. Now, some people are waiting for devil to move out and angel to enter, some others have connections with angels and when they enter, devil moves out. Both ways are possible as mentioned in the Ayahs of the Holy Quran.

Please refer to the following Ayahs/Surahs of the holy Quran.

Surah Al-Ma’edah, Ayah 45

Surah Al-Naas, Ayahs 5-6

Surah Al-Fosselat, Ayah 30
