Right and wrong

SHAFAQNA – A man asked Imam Ali (AS) to give him some advice and Imam (AS) replied: Do not be of those who when they are ill, they become regretful and when they are healthy engage in pleasures; Do not be proud when healthy and disappointed in difficulties. Do not be of those when in difficulty call God whilst weeping and when in comfort forget the Almighty; do not be of those whose inner-self dominate them with the force of false supposition and they cannot overcome the inner-self.
Do not be of those who consider their sins less important than others; do not be of those whose hopes are more than their deeds; do not be of those who when they are independent become drunk and proud and when needy become hopeless and weak; do not be of those who when they work they do less but their demands are excessive; do not be of those when confronted with lusts choose sin and delay repenting and do not be of those who when they are faced with sufferings will stay away from the path of the Islamic nation [1].
