What is the ruling about hacking other people’s Wi-Fi’s? The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered questions about hacking other people’s Wi-Fi’s.

Question: Is it Haram to hack other people’s Wi-Fi’s? And if someone hacks them, must he/she ask for forgiveness/pardon? And if it is necessary to ask for forgiveness, what happens if the owner is not known or it is very difficult to find the owner?

The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: It is not allowed and for using it, must ask for owner’s permission; and if the owner cannot be found, pay the price for the amount used to a poor person as Sadaqah (charity) on behalf of the owner, and for the purpose of being cautious, ask for permission from the religious authority.
