Saudi teenager Mosaad Al-Dossary crowned FIFA eWorld Cup champion

SHAFAQNA – The grand finale of the largest FIFA competition in history saw Saudi Arabia‘s Mosaad Al-Dossary winning the FIFA eWorld Cup on Saturday.

Teenager Al-Dossary defeated Stefano Pena from Belgium in the finals held in London, claiming an incredible prize money worth $250,000 and a new FIFA eWorld Cup, My Salaam reported.

More than 20 million gamers tried to qualify for eSports tournament but only 32 made it to London and Al-Dossary ‘Msdossary’ was proclaimed the EA Sports FIFA 18 World Champion after a 4-0 win on aggregate over Pena at The O2 in London.

“I’ve made my country proud by bringing home the trophy. This is my second event in the UK and it’s my second win, so I think this is my second home. I’m strong on both consoles and I defended very well on both games. I deserved to get two clean sheets in both legs,” FIFA quoted the the 18-year-old as saying.

“I haven’t decided what to do with the $250,000 USD. My aim every year is to win more trophies. Last year I got one and this year I’ve got two. It’s an honour to be the first winner of the new trophy. Hopefully I can keep getting better and better,” he said.

Al-Dosaryi won in the final after winning the first leg with two goals without a reply, and in the second with no goal.

Victory in the biggest FIFA eWorld Cup so far will do wonders for Al-Dossary and the huge prize money will go a long way towards progressing with a career in eSports, GiveMeSport reported.

Al-Dossary has already won the FUT Champion Cup Manchester this year.
