Sickle cell patient denied medical care in Bahrain prison

SHAFAQNA – Ali Alqassab is suffering from side effects from having legs locked into cuffs for prolonged periods of time while in custody. The boy’s family said he is a sickle cell anemia patient and should be provided with adequate medical care. However, the prison’s failure to provide such medical care has caused Ali a leg infection, high fever and body ache. He was then admitted to the Salmaniya hospital.
