Some conditions of temporary marriage/the Grand Ayatollah Shahroodi’s answers

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroodi answered questions about temporary marriage.

Question: What is the ruling for temporary marriage of 1000 years or more? If due to emotional issues the time of temporary marriage is set for 1000 years, is this Nikah (Marriage) void? Or will it become permanent? Or is it considered as temporary? Is it necessary for marriage to be dissolved (according to religious laws) or forgiving the remainder of the time will result in divorce?

The Grand Ayatollah Shahroodi: In temporary marriage no time limit has been proved, therefore, assuming the above questions, the marriage is temporary and is correct and by forgiving the remainder of the time, will end.
