While you think you may have found the love of your life or the best man for you, and you may talk to your girlfriends, and your parents, about him – or you may have had a traditional khastegari and everything seemed to jibe – pls pls pls pls do not rely on yourself for anything. Ever.
Do you have ilm al-ghayb? Do you hold the miftah to the universe? Absolutely not.
I have known too many women – young and younger who have married men who turned out to be liars, cheaters, hoods, alcoholics, drug addicts, gamblers, munafiqs and kaafirs, but to all appearances they seemed mu’min.
So don’t throw out your common sense you’ve been blessed with just because you feel some sort of joy or butterflies in your stomach – they mean nothing; rely on the One Who Knows All.
Don’t set yourself up for even more pain by manipulating His Word and His Clear Messages to you. Don’t make excuses. Don’t falsify results.
Allah subhana wa ta3ala is the Lord of Mercy and Clarity, not of Chaos and Confusion and Pain.
