Takfiris destroyed historic Mosque in Syria

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association)- Takfiri terrorists have destroyed yet another place of worship in Syria.

Militants from al-Nusra terrorist group have blown up al-Sultania Mosque in the city of Aleppo, al-Safir daily reported.

The mosque, which dated back to 800 years ago, was in the old section of Aleppo.

Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since March 2011. More than 200,000 people have been killed so far in the conflict.

Western powers and some of their regional allies – especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey – are reportedly supporting the militants operating against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The al-Nusra terrorist group and the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), another Takfiri group supported by the West, have demolished several holy shrines and mosques belonging to Shia and Sunni Muslims so far.
