The behaviour of the prophet (PBUH)

SHAFAQNA – The Prophet of Islam(PBUH)  used to stay away from 3 things; quarrel, talking too much and talking about useless subjects. He also prevented 3 things towards people; never blamed anyone and was not a fault/mistake-finder, did not speak unless there was a use for it, at the time of speaking attracted others to himself and others observed silence and when he finished speaking, others spoke. In his presence, people did not quarrel with each other about a subject and everybody used to talk in turn.

If audience smiled, the Prophet (PBUH) smiled with them, if they were surprised, he also used to be surprised, he used to tolerate the impoliteness of strangers in question/answer sessions so that person could be guided. The Prophet (PBUH) used to say, if you see someone in need, give help and never accepted anyone’s praise unless it was for thanking him. Never interrupted anyone’s talk unless that person transgressed beyond religious bonds and even in that case used to cut the talk by standing up [1].
