SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli answered a question about the duty of a pregnant woman who does not want her baby to be damaged by her husband’s Haram earnings.

Question: A lady who is pregnant and is certain about Haram earnings of her husband; what can she do to protect her baby from this matter or the baby is least affected?

The Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli: 1) If certain about Haram earning, that exact money/property cannot be used. 2) In case of necessity, can use as much as needed; not more than necessary. 3) Return the same amount of money/property to the original owner. 4) If the original owner is not known or cannot be found, pay to charity on his/her behalf.
