SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Sistani answered a question about the use of inappropriate melodies when reciting poems to praise Imams.
Question: Some poem reciters imitate melodies from corrupt people when reciting poems to praise the infallible Imams, although the poems are against what the corrupt people are used to but the melodies are from them (from corrupt people); is this type of recitation allowed and what is the ruling about listening to it?
The Grand Ayatollah Sistani: According to being cautious, it is Haram.
