The importance of writing down the knowledge in Islam

SHAFAQNA – The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) said: Tie up the knowledge by writing it down (in order to remain for others) [1]. It is also narrated from the Prophet (PBUH) who said: If a believer is passed away and leaves behind a page of written knowledge, until the Day of Judgment that page will be a curtain (a screen) between him and the fire and Allah (SWT) will grant him  a town seven times larger than the world for every word written on that page [2].
In this regard, Imam Sadeq (AS) told one of his students: Write down the knowledge and distribute it among your friends and brothers, so if you pass away, your writing will be left for your children and the next generation because there will come the time of trouble and disturbances when people will only associate with books and writings [3]. Abu Baseer also narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) who said: Write down, truly you will not be able to protect you knowledge except by writing it down [4].
