SHAFAQNA – In Ayah 91 of Surah Al-Ma’edah, Allah (SWT) says: “Satan tries to stir up enmity and hatred among you by means of intoxicants and gambling; and to hinder you from remembering and worshipping God; so will you stop?” In Ayah 19 of Surah Al-Mojadelah, the Supreme Being says: “Satan has dominated them by making them to forget Allah (SWT). They are the party of Satan and they are the losers.”
Therefore the main aim of Satan is to make human being to forget remembering God because when that happens (to forget about God) the consequence for a person is catastrophic as mentioned in Ayah 36 of Surah Al-Zukhruf: “If anyone turns away from remembering Allah (SWT), a Satan will be appointed for him/her as an intimate companion.”
Allah (SWT) in Ayah 124 of Surah Ta-Ha also mentions: “Whoever turns away from remembering God, his/her life will be difficult and hard and he/she will be resurrected blind on the Day of Judgment.”
