The main point of Ayah 8 of Surah Al-Takathur

SHAFAQNA – In Ayah 8 of Surah Al-Takathur, Allah (SWT) said: “Then shall you be questioned that day about the bliss (na’eem)”. Abu Hanifah asked Imam Sadeq (AS) about the commentary (Tafseer) of this Ayah, and Imam (AS) asked him: What is Na’eem in your opinion? Abu Hanifah replied: It is food and cool water. Imam (AS) said: If God wants to keep you on the Day of Judgment and ask you about every mouthful of food and sip of drink you have had, you must stay there for a long time!

Then, Abu Hanifah asked: So what is Naeem? Imam (AS) replied: And we are the Ahlul Bait (AS) whom Allah (SWT) has granted to servants of God as blessing, and due to us they became kind to each other when they were in disputes, and their hearts became kind to each other and they have become brothers, and because of us they have been guided to Islam [1]. In another narration, Abu Khalid Kabuli narrated: I was with Imam Baqir (AS), and we were eating, Imam (AS) asked: How was it? I replied: It was excellent, but I was remembering Ayah 8 of Surah Al-Takathur. Imam (AS) said: What you are responsible for is Welayah [2].
