The patience of Imam Ali (AS)

SHAFAQNA – After the passing away of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and when they were taking Imam Ali (AS) to the Mosque by force, a Jewish man who was witnessing the situation said: “There is no God except Allah (SWT)”. They asked him: You are Jewish, why did you say “There is no God except Allah (SWT)”? The Jewish man replied: I know Ali ibn Abitaleb (AS), Ali (AS) is the one who when appeared in wars, the enemy used to shake (from fear), but now there must be a reason that he is silent against some rebellious people. His silence is for the protection of his religion, and if Islam was not the truth, he would not have been so patient against all these insults. I witnessed the patience of Ali (AS); the truth of Islam has been proved to me and I converted to Islam [1].
