The real strength according to the Prophet of Islam (PUBH)

SHAFAQNA – The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was passing a place in Medina; some youths were testing their strength by lifting a big stone. They asked the Prophet (PBUH) to be referee for them and say who the better lifter is. The Prophet (PBUH) accepted and at the end of the competition said: Do you want me to say who is the strongest? They replied: Please say who is the strongest. The Prophet (PBUH) said: Do you think the strength is in lifting a heavy stone? The real strong person is the one who when gets angry, overcomes his/her anger [1]. In other narrations (Hadith), the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) said: The strongest person is the one who when he/she is inclined towards a sin, avoids that sin [2]; and the bravest person is the one who overcomes his/her inappropriate desires [3]. Also, the Prophet (PBUH) said: Whoever likes to be stronger than other people must rely on Allah (SWT) [4].
