SHAFAQNA – Iranian film The Runner, directed by Amir Naderi, will be screened in Turin, Italy.
The flick is supposed to go on screen today and tomorrow in the Italian city’s Cinema Massimo.
The Runner, which has garnered worldwide acclaim, is Amir Naderi’s semi-autobiographical portrait of a young boy struggling to survive on the streets after losing his family during the Iran-Iraq War.
It was the winner of the Grand Prix at Nantes Film Festival, 1985 and has attended several festivals in Venice, London, Sydney, San Francisco, Istanbul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Vancouver, Toronto and many others.
Naderi is a celebrated director and screenwriter best known for his Water, Wind, Dust and The Runner, which is considered by many critics to be among the outstanding films of the past 25 years.
